Reflection

We were introduced to ICT as an informative tool where we have learned what is informative tool, why do we integrate informative tool in class and how do we integrate informative tool in teaching and learning. I learned that informative tool is a tool which provides relevant, authentic and current information. There are six modes of information source which includes texts, graphics, sound, image, video and animations. we can use above sources to make learning more engaging by integrating it in our classroom. When we use different sources to teach, it can help us to gain student's attention by including the things they like. For example, if we want to teach about weather, it will be very boring if we on keep lecturing but if we can teach using animations, pictures and videos, students can learn in a better way and life long learning can also take place along with it. 

I have created simple animation on the reader "Momo, the monkey". I thought that simply reading the text for the students is not enough for the students to understand and its like we as a teacher are not doing a enough work for them. Animations with sounds can help them to remember the story and can even enjoy it. I have included text, images and sounds to make the story more realistic and fun. I used realistic pictures like baby monkey for Momo and then big monkeys for the parents of Momo.
