Reflection

As a final topic, we were introduced to ICT as a situating tool. At first I had no single idea on what is situating tool or how can we integrate it in our lesson. After the session, I came to learn that situating tool is application which situates learners in a environment where they can experience experience context and happening. It provides opportunity for students to conceptualize the ideas of the real world by integrating the theories in the practical application of real world situations. It also fosters creativity and visualization skills. We can also communicate with people around the world through online through online games among others. And were also given opportunity to explore and play games through which we can integrate situating tool. 

I heard about google maps but Google Earth was something really new for me. I was very excited to explore it. We were given opportunity to explore any places that we would like to visit and we were taught how to measure the distance in google Earth. I tried to go to kings Park in Perth and i got lost which was very interesting. Even though I have not been to Perth physically but I got an opportunity to say I got lost on the way to kings park. 

And we were also given an opportunity to explore and learn about GeoGebra. It was another interesting app through which we can draw shapes with accurate sizes. First we were taught how to draw triangle and later we were given an opportunity to draw any shapes.
